Serene Master Bedroom Makeover

I’ve been getting some gooooood sleep recently.  Nope, didn’t get a sleep number bed, nor did I book a weekly appt. at the spa/chiropractor (although I wouldn’t hate that).  I finally, and I mean FINALLY completed my Serene master bedroom makeover and because I’m in love with every bit of it (for now anyway lol), I’ve been sleeping better :).  I really feel like our bedroom is a private oasis.  Ok let me stop going on and on about how much I love it and get into the details already.  BUT before I do, I have to show you the before pics:

DIY Wedding Decor

Hi there! Yes yes it’s been a minute – the story of my life. Rather than make some lame excuse as to why I’ve been neglecting my blog, we’ll just jump right into this post…agreed? Agreed ?

Well, SOMEONE went ahead and got themselves hitched last summer (I did, I did, pick me!!!) and went through several (like a zillion) Pinterest binges and Instagram trolling to find DIY wedding decor ideas and themes that were budget concious (but of course!). I love the color combo of blush, Ivory and gold  (actually, pretty much any soft color combination) and used that as the color theme.  Ok enough talking (er-typing?) here’s some pics and breakdown of the items we made.

Let me start by saying a certain someone (me ????) is having a major life changing event next month and have been busy for the past several months preparing for that.  So, when one of my girlfriends announced that she was expecting and asked me to put together a budget friendly, glam nursery, I was all in! I definately needed a break and was glad to get back to decorating for a bit.
My friend wanted a sophisticated feel with lots of bling, and she loved the color coral.  So we started out by painting the entire room using a combination of two shades of coral. Here’s what the room looked like before:
